Fixed 1.235 V shunt reference in a TO-92-3
It operates as a two-terminal shunt device, requiring only a series resistor from the supply to bias the 15 µA minimum cathode current.
Output current and noise floor
The shunt can sink up to 20 mA of output current while maintaining regulation. Noise from 10 Hz to 10 kHz is specified at 60 µVrms typical, low enough for most 8- to 12-bit ADC reference or comparator threshold applications. The 15 µA minimum cathode current allows the reference to operate from high-impedance bias networks without dropping out.
Through-hole TO-92-3 package
Housed in a TO-226-3 / TO-92-3 (TO-226AA) through-hole package with a supplier device package designation of TO-92-3. The three leads are spaced on 0.100-inch pitch, compatible with standard prototyping boards and socket strips.
