Package and board-fit — 8-SOIC footprint
The LM35DM ships in an 8-SOIC package (0.154", 3.90mm width) with a Tube carrier.
What the 10mV/°C output means for your ADC input
The LM35DM outputs an analog voltage that scales linearly at 10mV/°C — at 25°C the output is 250 mV, at 100°C it is 1.0 V. This 1 V full-scale span fits directly into a 0–1.1 V ADC reference without external scaling, preserving the full resolution of a 10-bit or 12-bit converter.
Accuracy and temperature range — ±1.5°C from 0°C to 100°C
Rated accuracy is ±1.5°C (highest) over the full 0°C to 100°C local sensing range. This is a calibrated-grade sensor — no external trimming or lookup-table correction is required for most control-loop applications. The 0°C lower bound means it is not suited for sub-zero freezer or outdoor cold-start monitoring without a negative-temperature companion.
NRND lifecycle — what it means for a BOM line
Texas Instruments has designated the LM35DM as NRND (Not Recommended for New Designs). Existing production builds can continue to source through independent distribution, but new product introductions should migrate to the active LM35 replacement in the same SOIC footprint.
