700 kHz GBP — where this dual op-amp fits the bill
Each channel draws 500 µA of supply current, making this a low-power choice for multi-channel boards where the op-amp budget shares a rail with the MCU or ADC reference.
3 V to 30 V single-supply flexibility
The LM358DRG4 operates from a single supply spanning 3 V to 30 V, or a split supply of ±1.5 V to ±15 V. This wide compliance lets the same part serve 5 V logic-rail circuits and 24 V industrial sensor interfaces without a second op-amp variant on the BOM. Input offset voltage is rated at 3 mV typical, and input bias current at 20 nA — adequate for precision work above the microvolt level, but not a chopper-stabilized grade.
Commercial temperature grade — indoor and office equipment only
For motor drives, outdoor telecom, or under-hood automotive applications, the industrial-temperature LM358 variants (e.g., LM358DR or LM358P with -40°C to 85°C or 125°C ratings) are the correct choice.
