NRND — plan the last-time buy now
This is not an immediate discontinuation notice, but it signals that the manufacturer has stopped active design-in support and will eventually issue a last-time-buy (LTB) window. For existing BOM lines, secure sufficient lifetime buy stock or qualify a replacement before the LTB closes.
3 A adjustable output with 86 dB PSRR floor
The LM350AT is a positive adjustable voltage regulator delivering up to 3 A continuous output. The output voltage is set by two external resistors from a 1.25 V reference up to 33 V maximum, with a 35 V maximum input. The power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) is specified at 86 dB typical at 120 Hz, rolling off to 65 dB at the same frequency — this tells a designer that mains-frequency ripple on the input is attenuated by a factor of roughly 20,000 at the output, which is the primary reason to choose this part over a switching regulator in noise-sensitive analog rails. The single regulator channel is configured for positive output only. Built-in protection covers over-current, over-temperature, and short-circuit conditions — no external clamp diodes are needed for the basic fault cases.
Industrial temperature range in a TO-220-3
The TO-220-3 through-hole package (supplier device package same as case) requires a heatsink for sustained 3 A operation — the tab is electrically common with the output pin, so the thermal interface pad must be electrically isolated or the heatsink must float.
Sourcing posture for NRND parts
No stock-holding claim is made; the part is procured per the BOM quantity and delivery schedule specified in the RFQ.
