2.8 A switch, SEPIC or boost — one SOT-23-5 part
The LM3410YMF/NOPB is a current-mode DC-DC regulator from Texas Instruments, built for driving LEDs in backlight applications.
525 kHz switching, PWM dimming, wide temperature range
Switching at 525 kHz, the regulator keeps external inductor and capacitor sizes small — useful when board space is tight in a portable backlight driver. The PWM dimming input lets you control LED brightness directly from a microcontroller or PWM source, with no external DAC. With the internal switch rated for 2.8 A, the part can drive multiple series LEDs or a single high-current LED at the output voltage ceiling. The SEPIC topology also allows the output voltage to be above, below, or equal to the input — useful when the input rail varies (e.g., a Li-ion battery discharging from 4.2 V down to 2.7 V).
Active production, RoHS3 compliant
It is also RoHS3 compliant, with no exemptions that would complicate EU or global BOM compliance.
