Product details

2.8 A integrated switch in a 3×3 mm footprint

The LM3410XMYE/NOPB is a current-mode DC-DC regulator built for LED drive — it integrates a 2.8 A switch into an 8-pin HVSSOP package, so no external MOSFET is needed for backlight strings up to that current. The output voltage adjusts from 3 V to 24 V, covering single-LED bias through multi-series strings typical in LCD backlight panels.

PWM dimming at 1.6 MHz — inductor size trade-off

The PWM dimming input accepts a logic-level signal; the internal switch turns on and off at the dimming frequency, so the LED current duty cycle tracks the PWM duty cycle directly.

No hot-air station needed for rework; a fine-tip iron and flux wick handle the eight leads, and the pad reflows with the same profile as the pins.

Frequently asked questions

Does LM3410XMYE/NOPB require an external MOSFET?

No — the 2.8 A switch is integrated inside the package. The only external power components are the inductor, diode, and output capacitor.
