Quad comparator, open-collector — what you get in the 14-SOIC
The LM339ANSR: Quad differential comparator with four independent comparators. Each drives an open-collector output that sinks up to 20 mA typical.
Open-collector output — why it matters for your BOM
Open-collector output allows pull-up to a different voltage than the comparator supply. Quiescent current is 2.5 mA max.
It is a current-production part, so you can specify it into new designs without worrying about a forced redesign cycle. For BOM freeze or PCN watch, this is a low-risk line item.
