What the fixed outputs and switching frequency mean for your board
The 1.6V and 1.8V outputs are factory-set — there is no external resistor divider to adjust them. This part fits a design that needs exactly those two rails, typically powering a core voltage and an I/O voltage in a portable application. The 2MHz switching frequency pushes the fundamental switching noise above the AM radio band and lets the output filter use a 1µH to 2.2µH inductor and 10µF ceramic output caps. That shrinks the power supply footprint to roughly the size of the IC plus two small passives per channel. The trade-off is slightly higher switching losses than a 500kHz part, but at 600mA load the efficiency advantage of the small solution size usually wins in a battery-powered device.
