Slew rate and bandwidth — the practical limits
At 0.5 V/µs, the LM324ANSRG4 will reproduce a 5 V peak-to-peak sine wave up to about 16 kHz before slew-rate limiting distorts the output. For pulse or square-wave signals, the rise time into a 5 V step is roughly 10 µs. That makes it a fit for audio-frequency signal conditioning, DC servo loops, and slow sensor interfaces — not for video or high-speed data acquisition. Input offset voltage is 2 mV typical, with input bias current at 15 nA. For precision DC applications below a few millivolts, you will need to budget the offset error or consider a chopper-stabilised amplifier.
