Output flexibility and quiescent budget
The output stage supports CMOS, MOS, open-drain, and TTL logic families — you can wire the output directly to a microcontroller GPIO (open-drain with a pull-up) or drive a relay coil through a transistor. Each output sinks or sources up to 20mA typical, enough to drive a small LED or an optocoupler without a buffer. Max quiescent current is 2.5mA for both comparators combined — a modest draw that won't strain a 24V loop-powered sensor or a battery-backed monitor circuit.
