The LM2902N/NOPB: For a repair bench or a production line that has this DIP-14 footprint in the BOM, that means no last-time-buy scramble and no forced redesign to a surface-mount equivalent.
Supply span runs from 3 V minimum to 32 V maximum, which covers the common industrial rails — 5 V logic, 12 V sensor supplies, and 24 V PLC backplanes — without a separate regulator. The 1.5 mA total supply current for all four amplifiers keeps the quiescent load low on loop-powered or battery-backed boards.
1 MHz gain-bandwidth — where it works and where it doesn't
At 1 MHz gain-bandwidth product, this part is a DC-to-audio workhorse — think sensor buffers, set-point comparators, and 4-20 mA signal conditioning. It won't handle fast ADC drivers or switching-regulator error amps above a few hundred kHz, but for the general-purpose role it was designed for, the bandwidth is adequate and the 45 nA input bias current (typical) keeps DC errors low.
14-DIP through-hole — the repair-bench favourite
The 14-DIP (0.300-inch row spacing) is a through-hole package that sockets easily — no hot-air rework, no paste stencil. On a dead board, you can pull the old part and drop this one in without lifting pads.
