Quad op-amp in a TSSOP-14 — what the ratings tell you
The LM2902MT is a Texas Instruments LinCMOS™ quad general-purpose operational amplifier. Four independent amplifiers share a common bias network in a 14-TSSOP package, saving board area compared to four single op-amps. Gain-bandwidth product is 1 MHz, with a supply current of 1.5 mA for all four amplifiers — the CMOS input stage keeps bias current at 45 nA, which matters when the op-amp is used with high-impedance sensors or long time-constant filters.
This means TI has flagged it for eventual end-of-life — new designs should not start with this order code. Existing production lines that already qualify the part can continue sourcing through independent distribution while channel stock lasts. No official successor part is listed on the record. The buyer should evaluate a pin-compatible alternate from the LM324 family (same quad op-amp, 14-pin DIP/SOIC/TSSOP footprint) if a direct drop-in is needed, or migrate to a newer TI quad op-amp in the same package for fresh designs.
Supply rail and output — sizing the signal chain
Supply span runs from 3 V minimum to 32 V maximum — single-supply or split-supply operation is possible. Input offset voltage is 2 mV typical. For precision DC applications below 1 mV offset, a zero-drift amplifier would be a better choice; for general-purpose signal conditioning, level shifting, and active filtering at audio frequencies, this spec is adequate.
