Quad comparator on a 14-TSSOP footprint
The LM2901VQPWRG4 is a Texas Instruments quad differential comparator in a 14-TSSOP package. It packs four independent open-collector comparators into a 4.40 mm-wide surface-mount body, saving board area compared to the SOIC-14 alternative.
Supply rail flexibility — 2 V to 36 V single, ±1 V to ±18 V dual
The wide supply range means this comparator runs off a 5 V logic rail, a 12 V automotive battery, or a 24 V industrial bus without a secondary regulator. Dual-supply operation (±1 V to ±18 V) lets it interface with bipolar signal chains directly. Quiescent current maxes at 2.5 mA across all four channels — the power budget stays predictable even at 125°C junction temperature.
The 125°C ceiling covers most engine-bay and motor-drive environments without derating. Input offset voltage is 7 mV max at 5 V — tight enough for threshold detection in 12 V and 24 V systems where the signal swing is several volts.
