Supply rail flexibility — 2 V to 36 V single supply
That range covers 5 V logic rails, 12 V automotive battery lines, and 24 V industrial control buses without needing a secondary regulator. The 2.5 mA maximum quiescent current across all four channels keeps the thermal budget low even at the 125°C end of the temperature range.
Open-collector outputs and 20 mA sink capability
Each of the four comparators drives an open-collector output rated for 20 mA typical sink current. The output type — CMOS, MOS, open-collector, or TTL-compatible — lets the designer pull up to any voltage within the supply range, making the part suitable for level-shifting between logic families or driving a relay coil through an external pull-up resistor.
