Active charge pump for low-current voltage doubling
The LM2767M5X/NOPB is a ratiometric charge pump from Texas Instruments that doubles the input voltage (2× VIN) to deliver up to 15 mA at an adjustable output up to 11 V. The 11 kHz switching frequency keeps conducted and radiated EMI low, but the output ripple is higher than a switched-capacitor converter running at hundreds of kHz — plan for a larger output capacitor if the downstream load is noise-sensitive.
Housed in a 5-pin SOT-23 (SC-74A) package, the part occupies minimal PCB area — the 0.95 mm pin pitch is hand-solderable and the footprint matches standard SOT-23-5 land patterns. No synchronous rectifier is used internally — the charge pump relies on external diodes (typically Schottky) for the flying capacitor path; the forward drop of those diodes directly reduces the output voltage at higher load currents.
