Charge-pump LED driver for backlight duty
The Texas Instruments LM2751SD-B/NOPB is a switched-capacitor (charge pump) DC-DC regulator designed as a constant-current LED driver for backlight applications. It delivers a regulated 4.5 V output with a single channel rated at 150 mA, driven by a PWM dimming interface.
Supply rails and output regulation
The charge-pump topology generates a regulated 4.5 V output without an external inductor — the flying capacitors and internal switches handle the voltage conversion and current regulation. PWM dimming is supported on the enable pin, allowing the LED current to be pulse-width modulated for brightness control. The single output channel sources up to 150 mA, sufficient for driving a medium-sized backlight string or a high-brightness indicator LED.
Package and temperature grade
Housed in a 10-WFDFN with exposed pad (supplier device package 10-WSON, 3×3 mm), the part is surface-mount and requires a thermal land on the PCB to dissipate heat from the internal switches.
