1.5 A adjustable buck at 2 MHz — parametric fit
The LM27341SD/NOPB is a non-synchronous step-down (buck) regulator delivering up to 1.5 A from a 3 V to 20 V input rail. The output is adjustable from 1 V up to 18 V, set by an external resistor divider. The 2 MHz rate also pushes switching noise above the AM band, simplifying input filtering in noise-sensitive designs. No synchronous rectifier means the external Schottky diode handles the catch current — factor its forward drop into the efficiency budget at low input voltages.
10-WSON package — board integration notes
Housed in a 10-lead WFDFN with exposed pad (3 mm × 3 mm SON), the package relies on the thermal pad for heat sinking. The datasheet layout calls for multiple thermal vias under the pad to the ground plane — without them the junction-to-board thermal resistance rises and the 1.5 A output derates above 85°C ambient. The exposed pad is the primary electrical ground connection; the four corner pins are also GND.
The ROHS3 compliance (no exemptions) means it can be used in new designs without restriction under EU RoHS. The 10-WSON package is MSL-1 typical for TI's WFDFN family — no dry-bake required before reflow if the seal is intact, but store the reels in a dry cabinet below 30°C / 60% RH per J-STD-033.
