Fixed 12 V buck at 500 mA — what the ratings mean for your rail
The Texas Instruments LM2594HVM-12/NOPB is a SIMPLE SWITCHER® non-synchronous step-down regulator that delivers a fixed 12 V output at up to 500 mA from a wide input range of 4.5 V to 60 V. It switches at 150 kHz and operates over a -40°C to 125°C junction temperature range, making it suitable for industrial, automotive, and telecom power rails that need a regulated 12 V bus from a high-voltage or widely varying input source.
Temperature grade and environment
The -40°C to 125°C junction temperature rating covers outdoor telecom cabinets, engine-bay electronics, and factory-floor power supplies without derating. The 8-SOIC package has no exposed pad.
