Fixed 15V at 3A – where the 52 kHz matters
The LM2576T-15/LF03 gives you a fixed 15V rail at 3A continuous from a 4V to 40V input – no external divider, no feedback loop to tune. The 52 kHz switching frequency is slow enough to keep inductor core losses negligible but fast enough that the output ripple stays under 100 mV with a standard 330 µH coil. That trade-off is why this part survives in noisy industrial bays where a 1 MHz switcher would radiate into adjacent sensor lines.
Through-hole package and junction temperature range
TO-220-5 with formed leads – the tab is the thermal path. Solder the tab to a 1 in² copper pour on a 2 oz board and the junction-to-ambient drops to about 50°C/W at 3A.
