The LM2576HVS-12/NOPB is a fixed 12 V output buck regulator from the SIMPLE SWITCHER® family, rated for 3 A continuous output. Its 4 V to 60 V input range covers the common 24 V industrial bus with margin for transients, making it a direct fit for converting a 24 V supply to a regulated 12 V rail. The 52 kHz switching frequency keeps switching losses low and simplifies EMI filter design, but demands a larger inductor and output capacitor than a 500 kHz part — a trade-off that favours noise-sensitive loads over board-space-constrained designs.

Industrial temperature grade and thermal package

The DDPAK/TO-263-5 package exposes a large copper tab on the bottom — the PCB copper area under that tab sets the junction-to-ambient thermal resistance.
