22W stereo Class AB in an isolated TO-220
The LM1876TF/NOPB is a Texas Instruments Overture™ Class AB stereo audio amplifier delivering 22W per channel into a 4Ω load.
Protection and integration features
On-chip depop circuitry suppresses turn-on transients that would otherwise thump the speakers. The mute function holds the outputs at a known state during power sequencing. Short-circuit and thermal protection shut down the output stage before the die or load is damaged — these features reduce the external component count compared to a discrete Class AB build.
Package and thermal interface
The TO-220-15 package has an isolated tab, so the heatsink does not require an insulating pad for electrical isolation — the tab is electrically neutral. The formed leads are designed for through-hole mounting; the supplier device package is TO-220-15 Isolated.
Lifecycle and compliance status
It is ROHS3 compliant, covering EU RoHS exemption categories without restriction.
