5000Vrms reinforced isolation for automotive and industrial buses
The Texas Instruments ISO7741FEDWRQ1 is a 4-channel, unidirectional digital isolator built on capacitive coupling technology, delivering 5000Vrms isolation in a 16-SOIC wide-body package. The 100Mbps data rate keeps up with high-speed serial links without adding latency; propagation delay is 16.5ns max each way, and pulse-width distortion stays under 4.9ns.
85kV/µs CMTI — what it buys in a motor-drive or inverter environment
Common-mode transient immunity is rated at 85kV/µs minimum. In a traction inverter or industrial motor drive where SiC or IGBT switching edges exceed 50kV/µs, this margin prevents data corruption across the isolation barrier. The 2.4ns typical rise/fall time keeps signal integrity clean on the secondary side.
Supply range and logic-level compatibility
Supply voltage spans 2.25V to 5.5V on both sides, so the part works with 3.3V and 5V logic without a separate level translator. The channel configuration is 3 inputs on side 1 and 1 input on side 2 — a common split for isolating a single feedback or fault signal back to the controller while the main data flow goes forward.
The base product number is ISO7741, so the same die is available in other package and temperature variants if the design needs a different footprint or grade.
