Channel direction and data rate — checking the signal map
The ISO7741EDWRQ1: The device provides three channels from Side 1 to Side 2 and one channel in the reverse direction. This unidirectional channel arrangement is fixed at the silicon level — it is not configurable, so the signal-direction assignment must match the PCB netlist before layout. The 100 Mbps data rate supports common fieldbus interfaces (CAN, RS-485, SPI) at their typical clock speeds, though a full 100 Mbps SPI link will need careful trace-length matching to stay within the 16.5 ns propagation delay budget.
