3000Vrms isolation with 85kV/µs CMTI — built for noisy automotive rails
The Texas Instruments ISO7731QDBQQ1 is a three-channel, unidirectional digital isolator using capacitive coupling to deliver 3000Vrms galvanic isolation. The 100Mbps data rate covers isolated SPI, UART, and CAN FD signaling without adding propagation delay — max 16ns each direction — and the 85kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity keeps the link clean when an inverter phase switches or a relay coil kicks.
Supply range and channel direction — what the 2/1 split means
Two channels run from Side 1 to Side 2, one channel runs from Side 2 to Side 1 — a 2/1 input split that suits a typical SPI isolation interface (SCLK, MOSI forward; MISO return) or a CAN transceiver isolation barrier with TX and RX on separate sides. The supply range spans 2.25V to 5.5V on each side independently, so you can mate a 3.3V MCU domain on one side with a 5V transceiver or sensor rail on the other without a level shifter.
Package and footprint — 16-SSOP, surface-mount only
The narrow SSOP footprint is common across the ISO7731 family, so a layout designed for the base part number accepts this variant directly.
