AEC-Q100 Grade 1 digital isolator for automotive signal isolation
The TI ISO7710QDWQ1 is a single-channel, unidirectional digital isolator using capacitive coupling to provide 5000 Vrms galvanic isolation. With a typical propagation delay of 16 ns and pulse-width distortion of 4.9 ns max, the part supports 100 Mbps signaling with tight timing margins for CAN, SPI, or UART isolation in powertrain, BMS, and ADAS sensor interfaces.
85 kV/µs CMTI — what it means for motor-drive and inverter isolation
The minimum common-mode transient immunity of 85 kV/µs ensures that fast switching edges from SiC or GaN power stages — typical in traction inverters and DC-DC converters — do not couple across the isolation barrier and corrupt the digital signal. This rating is critical for maintaining data integrity in high-EMI environments without additional filtering.
Package and mounting: 16-SOIC wide-body
Supplied in a 16-SOIC (0.295", 7.50 mm width) surface-mount package, the wide-body format provides the necessary creepage and clearance for 5000 Vrms reinforced isolation per IEC 60747-17. Mounting is surface-mount with no isolated power required on the secondary side — the part is powered solely by the input-side supply.
Lifecycle and compliance
For PPAP documentation and AEC-Q100 qualification reports, the buyer should request the TI automotive-grade certificate at the time of order.
