Four unidirectional channels, all on one side
It provides four unidirectional isolation channels, all configured with inputs on Side 1 and outputs on Side 2 — a 4/0 arrangement that suits applications where all signals flow in one direction across the isolation barrier, such as sensor-to-controller interfaces or driving isolated gate-driver inputs. Rated for 4000Vpk isolation voltage with a minimum common-mode transient immunity of 25kV/µs, this part handles the fast voltage slew rates found in motor-drive and inverter environments without corrupting the data stream.
1Mbps data rate and propagation delay budget
The 2ns typical rise/fall time keeps edge rates clean enough for most industrial logic levels without excessive ringing. No isolated power is generated internally — the device requires a separate supply on each side of the barrier.
Housed in a 16-pin SOIC package with 7.50mm body width (0.295" wide-body SOIC), the ISO7240ADWG4 provides the creepage distance needed for 4000Vpk isolation in a surface-mount format. The wide-body package is a deliberate choice for high-voltage clearance; standard narrow SOIC-16 would not meet the same isolation rating.
There is no announced end-of-life, no last-time-buy window, and no successor part number on file.
