Two-channel capacitive isolator for industrial signal isolation
The Texas Instruments ISO1212DBQ is a two-channel, unidirectional digital isolator from the ISO121x family, using capacitive coupling to provide 2500 Vrms galvanic isolation between logic domains.
The inputs on Side 2 are the only active inputs (0/2 configuration), so this is a two-channel receiver-side isolator — data flows from Side 2 to Side 1. The 3 ns typical rise and fall times keep signal integrity clean at 4 Mbps, but the 140 ns max propagation delay on the low-to-high edge is the budget item for timing closure in a synchronous interface.
The supplier device package is 16-SSOP. No isolated power is provided on-chip — each side needs its own supply rail.
