Quad current-sense amplifier in a 4×4 mm VQFN
The Texas Instruments INA4290A4IRGVR is a quad-channel current-sense amplifier in a 16-VQFN Exposed Pad package (4×4 mm). Supply span runs from 2.7 V to 20 V, so the part can sit on a 3.3 V, 5 V, or 12 V rail without a separate regulator.
Precision specs that matter for shunt accuracy
The 6 µV input offset and 20 µA bias current set the floor for measurement error. At a 10 mΩ shunt carrying 1 A, the sense voltage is 10 mV — a 6 µV offset contributes 0.06% error before any gain or temperature drift. The 1.1 MHz GBW gives enough bandwidth to capture switching ripple in a motor-drive or power-supply loop. Total supply current for all four channels is 1.25 mA, which keeps the self-heating low in the VQFN package.
