What this current sense amplifier is and where it fits
The Texas Instruments INA293A5QDBVRQ1 is a single-channel, automotive-grade current sense amplifier in a SOT-23-5 package. It is qualified to AEC-Q100, making it suitable for under-hood and chassis-domain applications where PPAP documentation is required. The device measures current across a shunt resistor with a 900 kHz bandwidth and a 2.5 V/µs slew rate, translating fast current transients in switching converters, motor drives, and solenoid loads into a proportional voltage output. Its 2 µV input offset voltage and 20 µA input bias current support accurate sensing at low shunt drops, preserving efficiency in high-side monitoring.
Supply range and rail compatibility
The amplifier operates from 2.7 V to 20 V. The 1.5 mA supply current adds negligible load to the system power budget.
Package and mounting note
Supplied in an SOT-23-5 package for surface-mount assembly. The footprint matches standard JEDEC patterns; no special pad geometry needed. Available in Tape & Reel or Cut Tape for prototyping and production volume.
