Bandwidth and slew rate — transient capture window
The 400 kHz -3 dB bandwidth and 2 V/µs slew rate set the device's ability to reproduce fast current edges. A 1 A/µs current ramp through a 10 mΩ shunt produces a 10 mV/µs signal at the input — the INA240A4PWR's slew rate is 200× faster, so the output tracks the event with negligible lag. This matters for overcurrent detection in switching regulators or short-circuit protection in motor drives where the fault must be captured within a few microseconds.
Supply current is 1.8 mA, low enough to keep the thermal budget clean in a densely populated 8-TSSOP board.
