The INA240A2PW: The 5 µV input offset voltage allows use of a smaller shunt value, reducing power dissipation.
The -3 dB bandwidth is 400 kHz with a slew rate of 2 V/µs. That bandwidth covers the switching ripple in a typical 100–200 kHz DC-DC converter and lets the amplifier track the current waveform through the inductor. If you're monitoring a motor phase current with a PWM carrier at 20 kHz, the 400 kHz bandwidth gives you enough headroom to reconstruct the current envelope without phase lag that would throw off the control loop.
Supply range and quiescent draw
The 1.8 mA supply current is the quiescent draw, a fixed load in always-on systems.
That means no last-time-buy scramble for a new BOM line. The base product number is INA240, and the A2 variant is the mid-gain option (20 V/V). If you need a different gain, the INA240A1 (50 V/V) and INA240A3 (100 V/V) are pin-compatible siblings in the same 8-TSSOP footprint.
