What this current sense amplifier does on your board
The Texas Instruments INA199A2RSWT is a current-sense amplifier that measures voltage across a shunt resistor on either the high side or low side of the supply rail. It outputs a ground-referenced voltage proportional to the sensed current, eliminating the need for a separate level shifter. The ±1.5% accuracy over the full temperature range keeps the power-monitoring budget tight enough for most industrial and automotive loads without requiring a precision instrumentation amplifier.
Temperature grade and environment
Rated for -40°C to 125°C operation, this part is qualified for industrial enclosures, outdoor telecom cabinets, and under-hood automotive environments. No separate automotive-grade variant is needed for most chassis and cabin-domain applications.
Lifecycle and sourcing
It is ROHS3 compliant.
