Precision signal conditioning in an 8-SOIC footprint
The Texas Instruments INA128U/2K5G4 is a single-circuit instrumentation amplifier designed for precision differential signal acquisition. Its 10 µV input offset voltage and 2 nA input bias current suit it for bridge sensors, thermocouple interfaces, and medical instrumentation front-ends where the common-mode rejection matters more than raw gain bandwidth.
The 4V/µs slew rate and 1.3 MHz -3 dB bandwidth are matched for precision DC-to-low-frequency AC signals. At a gain of 100, the full-power bandwidth drops to roughly 13 kHz — enough for strain-gauge and load-cell readouts, but not for audio or vibration above the low-kHz range. Supply current is 700 µA typical, which keeps the self-heating low in the 8-SOIC package. The single-supply range spans 4.5 V to 36 V, so the same part works in a 5 V battery-powered instrument or a ±15 V industrial rail.
