Single-channel instrumentation amp for precision sensor front-ends
Its 200 kHz -3 dB bandwidth and 0.4 V/µs slew rate cover most industrial sensor bandwidths up to a few tens of kilohertz, while the 100 µV input offset voltage and 10 nA input bias current keep the measurement chain accurate without trimming. The 2.7 V to 36 V supply span lets it run off a single lithium cell or a ±15 V industrial rail, and the 175 µA quiescent current suits loop-powered 4-20 mA transmitters where every microamp counts.
With a minimum supply of 2.7 V and maximum of 36 V, this part fits both 3.3 V battery-operated designs and ±15 V industrial backplanes without a secondary regulator. The 175 µA supply current at 36 V is the same order as the self-heating of a precision resistor divider — negligible in the thermal budget. The 10 mA per-channel output current is enough to drive an ADC input or a twisted-pair cable over a few metres, but not a heavy load like a relay coil or a long 50 Ω line. Plan a buffer stage if the output needs to drive more than a few milliamps into a capacitive load.
