Device identity and speed grade
The GAL20V8QS-10LVI is an electrically erasable programmable logic device (EE PLD) with a 10 ns propagation delay, using a PAL-type architecture in a PQCC28 package. The 10 ns speed grade means the combinatorial logic path from input to registered output settles within 10 ns — this sets the maximum system clock rate for registered designs and the input-to-output latency for combinatorial glue logic.
Housed in a 28-lead plastic leaded chip carrier (PQCC28), the part mounts flush to the PCB with J-bend leads on 1.27 mm pitch — the footprint matches industry-standard PLCC-28 land patterns.
