FPD-Link III deserializer for automotive camera links
The Texas Instruments DS90UB928QSQ/NOPB is a single-input deserializer that converts a serial FPD-Link III or LVDS stream back into 13 parallel LVDS outputs. It handles a serial data rate of 2.975 Gbps, enough for uncompressed 1080p video or multiple lower-resolution camera feeds. The part is AEC-Q100 qualified and rated over -40°C to 105°C, so it fits under-hood camera modules, surround-view ECUs, and cabin display bridges where the ambient temperature stays below 105°C.
The 2.975 Gbps serial data rate is the aggregate throughput on the FPD-Link III twisted-pair or coax cable. The deserializer recovers the clock from the serial stream.
