Active production and AEC-Q100 qualification
The DS90UB904QSQE/NOPB: Listed under the Automotive, AEC-Q100 series, this part is qualified to the AEC-Q100 stress and reliability standard — the baseline requirement for any semiconductor destined for an OEM PPAP submission.
Serial-link bandwidth and parallel bus width
As a deserializer, the DS90UB904QSQE/NOPB accepts a single FPD-Link III or LVDS serial stream at 900 Mbps and converts it to a 21-bit LVCMOS parallel bus. The 900 Mbps data rate sets the pixel clock ceiling for the serial link; the 21-output width determines how many bits of video, control, or GPIO data arrive at the receiving FPGA or ASIC per clock cycle. The dual supply rails — 1.71V to 1.89V for the core and 3V to 3.6V for the I/O — are a common split-rail architecture. The I/O rail must match the LVCMOS input threshold of the downstream device; running a 1.8V I/O rail into a 3.3V receiver will not meet the VIH spec.
Package, footprint, and tape-and-reel quantity
The supplier device package is 48-WQFN (7x7), which is the same mechanical footprint as the WFQFN but with a different thermal pad recommendation — confirm the land pattern in the TI application note before layout. Available in Tape & Reel (TR) and Cut Tape (CT) options. The TR quantity is the standard reel count for production; CT is for prototype or low-volume builds.
