800 Mbps per channel — what it buys the link budget
The DS90LV804TSQ/NOPB is a 4-channel LVDS buffer/reDriver from Texas Instruments that accepts CML, LVDS, or LVPECL inputs and re-drives them as LVDS outputs at up to 800 Mbps per channel. The 2.0 ns propagation delay is tight enough for clock fan-out or data distribution in backplane and cable-extension applications where the original driver lacks the swing or drive strength for the full trace length. The 3.5 pF input capacitance keeps the loading light on the source side, so you can place it mid-link without upsetting the upstream driver's eye diagram.
Supply rail and temperature — where it lives
The 117 mA supply current is the total for all four channels active.
Package and layout — the exposed pad matters
The pad is also the primary ground return for the high-speed signals — a solid via stitch under the part is not optional.
