The DS90LV028ATLD/NOPB is a dual LVDS receiver from Texas Instruments, part of the DS90LV028 family, designed for point-to-point or multi-drop differential signaling at data rates up to 400 Mbps. The LVDS protocol (low-voltage differential signaling) uses a small swing (~350 mV) across a 100-ohm termination, which keeps EMI low and allows the receiver to reject common-mode noise on the line — important for backplane or cable links in noisy industrial environments. With two receiver channels and no drivers, this IC is a pure receive-side component. The 400 Mbps data rate sets the timing margin for the link: at that speed, the bit period is 2.5 ns, and the receiver's propagation delay and skew must be budgeted against the driver's jitter and the cable's attenuation.
