That means TI is not actively promoting it for new projects, and while it's still available through distribution for existing production runs, the clock is ticking on long-term supply. If you're qualifying a new board, this is not the part to lock in — the NRND flag is a signal to look at the recommended replacement before you commit the footprint. For legacy BOM lines already using this driver, independent distribution can still source it, but expect tightening availability as the transition progresses.
