Targeted at display applications, the DS15EA101SQ/NOPB is housed in a 16-WFQFN exposed pad package (supplier device package 16-WQFN 4x4 mm). The exposed pad requires a thermal-land pattern on the PCB for heat dissipation and a solder stencil aperture that matches the datasheet recommendation — without it, solder voids or poor thermal transfer degrade reliability.
Surface-mount assembly checklist
For reflow profiling, the 16-WFQFN package is moisture-sensitive — the floor-life rating from the TI datasheet must be confirmed before exposure to reflow temperatures.
