Motor driver for 8.2 V to 45 V bus rails
The DRV8841PWP is a fully integrated motor driver from Texas Instruments combining control logic and a Power MOSFET output stage in a single 28-PowerTSSOP package. It drives one bipolar stepper motor or two brushed DC motors from a supply rail spanning 8.2 V to 45 V, with each of the four half-bridges rated for 1.75 A continuous output. The parallel interface simplifies connection to a host MCU or motion controller without SPI or UART overhead. The junction temperature range of -40°C to 150°C suits environments where the driver sits near a motor or in a sealed enclosure — automotive under-hood, industrial actuator cabinets, or pump stations where ambient heat soaks the PCB.
1.75 A per bridge — sizing the load budget
Each half-bridge delivers 1.75 A continuous. For a bipolar stepper, that is the per-phase current; for two brushed DC motors, each H-bridge pair handles one motor.
Active production — no LTB clock ticking
The DRV8841PWP carries an Active lifecycle status. There is no last-time-buy notice or NRND flag. ROHS3 compliant, so it qualifies for new designs targeting EU or global RoHS requirements without a waiver.
Package and mounting
Supplied in a Tube (the 28-PowerTSSOP body, also designated 28-HTSSOP). Surface-mount assembly with an exposed thermal pad — the PowerPAD must be soldered to a copper plane on the PCB for sustained output.
