The DRV8801PWPR is a fully integrated DMOS motor driver in a 16-PowerTSSOP package. It drives one brushed DC motor or one bipolar stepper motor using two half-bridges, each rated for 2.8 A continuous output. The supply and load voltage share the same 8 V to 38 V rail.

The parallel interface keeps the control simple — no SPI or PWM setup registers to initialize. A few GPIO lines from an MCU drive the bridge directly. That saves firmware development time but means the MCU must generate the PWM frequency and duty cycle externally.
