Active production, AEC-Q100 qualified
The DRV5055A2ELPGQ1: It carries the Automotive, AEC-Q100 series qualification, meaning it has passed the stress tests and reliability screening required for automotive-grade ICs: extended temperature range, ESD robustness, and parametric stability over the full operating life.
±44 mT linear range, 20 kHz bandwidth
This is a single-axis linear Hall-effect sensor with a sensing range of ±44 mT. The output is an analog voltage proportional to the applied magnetic field — no digital interface, no programming needed. The 20 kHz bandwidth means it can track fast-changing fields, suitable for position sensing in rotating machinery or current-sense applications where the signal content extends into the tens of kilohertz. For an under-hood sensor seeing 125°C ambient, that matters — the output voltage at a given field stays repeatable across the thermal cycle.
Dual supply range, through-hole package
This covers both a 3.3 V and a 5 V system rail without an external regulator. Maximum supply current is 10 mA, and the analog output can source up to 1 mA into the ADC or controller input. The package is the short-body TO-92-3 (TO-226-3), a three-lead through-hole format that suits breadboard prototyping, sensor probes on flying leads, or board-edge mounting where a surface-mount device would be difficult to place.
