Single-axis Hall sensor for 150°C automotive environments
The Texas Instruments DRV5055A1ELPGQ1 is a single-axis Hall-effect sensor with an analog voltage output, rated for the full -40°C to 150°C automotive temperature range. It senses magnetic fields up to ±22 mT and delivers a 20 kHz bandwidth, making it suitable for position sensing in engine compartments, transmission control, and electric power steering where both heat and response speed matter. The TO-92-3 through-hole package suits retrofit or hand-assembly lines where a surface-mount footprint is not an option.
Temperature compensation keeps the reading stable
Integrated temperature compensation reduces sensitivity drift across the -40°C to 150°C span. For a transmission oil-temperature sensor or a brake-pedal position sensor that sees both cold starts and under-hood soak-back, this means the output voltage at a given field stays within a tighter window than a basic uncompensated Hall cell would deliver.
Active lifecycle — no LTB risk for new designs
The DRV5055A1ELPGQ1 carries an Active product status and is ROHS3 compliant. The AEC-Q100 qualification (Automotive series) means it has passed the stress tests required for Tier-1 automotive programs.
