Active production — AEC-Q100 qualified linear Hall sensor
The DRV5053VAEDBZTQ1 is an active-production linear Hall-effect sensor from Texas Instruments, qualified to AEC-Q100 for automotive applications. The single-axis device outputs an analog voltage proportional to the magnetic field, with a linear sensing range of ±9 mT.
Temperature grade and bandwidth for under-hood sensing
The temperature-compensated design reduces sensitivity drift across this range, which is critical for maintaining accuracy in position and current-sense applications that see wide thermal cycling. A 20 kHz bandwidth supports closed-loop motor current feedback and vibration monitoring above the audible range, making it suitable for quiet PWM-driven actuators. The analog output can source up to 2.3 mA, enough to drive a typical ADC input or a small filter capacitor.
SOT-23-3 package and board integration
Housed in a standard SOT-23-3 package (TO-236-3, SC-59 alternative designation), the sensor occupies minimal PCB area and follows the common three-lead Hall sensor pinout (supply, ground, output). The surface-mount footprint is compatible with reflow soldering and standard pick-and-place assembly.
