It outputs an analog voltage proportional to the applied magnetic flux density along a single axis. The ±35 mT sensing range covers common permanent-magnet and ferrous-target distances used in position, proximity, and current-sense designs.
The supply range spans 2.5 V to 38 V, so the sensor runs directly from a 5 V or 12 V rail without an extra regulator — one less line item on the BOM. The 20 kHz bandwidth is fast enough to track shaft rotation at several thousand RPM or to reconstruct PWM current waveforms; if your target moves faster than that, the output amplitude rolls off before the signal reaches the ADC. Maximum supply current is 3.6 mA, and the analog output can source or sink up to 2.3 mA. That output current drives a microcontroller ADC input directly, but if you are feeding a long cable or a low-impedance load, buffer it with an op-amp.

Supplied in a through-hole TO-92-3 short-body package. The three leads are 0.100-inch pitch — breadboard- and prototype-friendly. The flat face of the package is the branded side; magnetic flux perpendicular to that face produces the linear output.
