Parametric fit for automotive current and position sensing
The DRV5053OAELPGQ1 is a single-axis Hall-effect sensor from Texas Instruments, rated for ±73 mT sensing range with an analog voltage output proportional to the applied magnetic flux density. Its 20 kHz bandwidth makes it suitable for capturing fast-switching currents in motor drives or solenoid position feedback, where the magnetic field changes at PWM frequencies.
Error budget and temperature stability
Maximum supply current is 3.6 mA, and the output can source or sink up to 2.3 mA — enough to drive the ADC input of a typical automotive microcontroller directly without a buffer. The TO-92-3 through-hole package (TO-226AA) mounts into a standard 0.1-inch pitch PCB footprint, simplifying prototyping and field replacement compared to surface-mount packages.
