Sensing range and bandwidth for position feedback
The DRV5053EAQDBZR: Rated for ±18 mT sensing range with a 20 kHz bandwidth — the linear analog output tracks magnetic field changes fast enough for brushless DC motor commutation or throttle position sensing in automotive powertrain applications. Single-axis Hall-effect technology measures the field component perpendicular to the package face.
Supply flexibility and current budget
Operates from a 2.7 V to 38 V supply rail — a single 12 V automotive battery or a regulated 5 V ECU rail both work without an intermediate LDO. Max supply current is 3.6 mA; the 2.3 mA max output drive handles the ADC input capacitance on a typical 100 nF sample-and-hold.
Supplied in a 3-pin SOT-23-3 package (TO-236 / SC-59 variant) — the 0.95 mm pin pitch and 2.9 mm body length fit into tight sensor-head PCBs or inline connector housings. Surface-mount assembly with standard reflow profile; no exposed pad requiring thermal vias.
