Single-axis analog Hall sensor for 150°C environments
The DRV5053EAEDBZTQ1 is a single-axis linear Hall-effect sensor from Texas Instruments, part of the Automotive AEC-Q100 series. It outputs an analog voltage proportional to the magnetic flux density, with a sensing range of ±18 mT and a bandwidth of 20 kHz. The wide supply range of 2.7 V to 38 V lets it run directly off a 5 V, 12 V, or 24 V rail without an intermediate regulator — a practical advantage when the sensor is at the far end of a harness.
Temperature grade and supply flexibility
The 2.7 V minimum supply means it still operates during a cold-crank dip, and the 38 V maximum handles load-dump transients on a 24 V truck bus without a clamp diode. Temperature compensation is built in, so the sensitivity drift over -40°C to 150°C stays within the datasheet limits — no external thermistor or lookup table needed.
